Review

This Tower Adventurer 2 inflatable stand up paddle board review covers a board which is made from military grade PVC, so you can rest assured that it’s strong, durable and excellent quality. This in itself provides good value for money, but another advantage of this robust construction is that you can take the board almost anywhere.

This iSUP can be used on flat water, rapids, four foot high waves and just about everything in between. This is ideal if you’re travel-hungry as you can take it to virtually any destination to try out everything from gentle paddling to racing to fishing – and its tough construction means that you don’t have to worry about damage. It moves very fast in the water, but you can also use this board to try your hand at SUP yoga due to its large 10’4″ x 32″ area.

If you’re used to solid stand-up paddle boards, you might want to take some time getting used to the feel of this SUP, especially if you want to try out some ambitious SUP yoga poses. This is because despite being extremely rigid, the board does tend to rock in flat water slightly more than some other boards we’ve tried.

Tower has designed this board to be very versatile in terms of who can use it. At 350 lbs, the maximum weight limit is the highest of all the boards we’ve covered, so it can be used by just about anyone – as well as their kids and dogs. The fiberglass paddle which comes with the board is adjustable, ranging from 65 to 85 inches long, which should be suitable for people between 4’10” and 6’4″ tall.

However, although the paddle is versatile and well made, it’s quite heavy and doesn’t seem to be as effective as other larger bladed paddles which can be bought separately. Furthermore, no bag or backpack is included with this inflatable SUP, so this will be an added expense unless you’re willing to just use the simple carry strap.

This SUP from Tower takes around ten minutes to inflate and less than half that time to pack away, so you can be up and away in minutes. It’s extremely portable, making it the ideal choice for adventurers, travel junkies and free spirits alike.

Who Should Buy?

With a super high weight limit, this inflatable stand-up paddleboard allows you to take your kids, your friends, and even your pets along for the ride. The feel of this board might take some getting used to, but it’s made of tough stuff so you won’t have to worry about replacing it anytime soon. For serious stand-up paddleboarders, this is a great value, long-term investment.
